I’m pretty picky when it comes to coffee. Very few coffee shops I’ve visited excel in making the best drink in every category. Let me put it this way — 3 out of 10 shops get it 100% right. No, that’s not an actual statistic. It’s the Eunice O’Meter. Houndstooth Coffee just so happens to be one of those shops. However, I do have a favorite beverage there. Japanese iced coffee. Yep, it’s so delicious.
My description of the Japanese iced coffee: floral, light, and pure. If you’re more inclined to drinking tea, I guarantee you’ll love this iced coffee. You can choose what coffee beans you’d like to be used to make your coffee. That iced coffee always leaves me wanting more. There are only two coffee beverages that I constantly crave. A mocha from Trio Craft Coffee and the Japanese iced coffee. I’ve had a lot of coffee, so that’s saying something.
The decor is not as “cozy” as most coffee shops in DFW area. Y’know the trend right? Couches, pillows, and it looks like a living room. Think mid century mod. It’s trendy and spacious. They have a nice outdoor patio. The chairs aren’t the most comfortable, so it might not be the best spot to work at. That might not be a turnoff for a lot of people. I just prefer to have back support when I’m working, eating, or just sitting down period.
I suggest buying one of the super cute Houndstooth mugs they sell. You’ll see a little Texas silhouette at the bottom of your cup. Adorable.
