Y’all, Georgetown Cupcake was heavenly. Ever since my sister and I started watching DC Cupcakes, I have had the itch to try this bakery out. However, I didn’t think it would happen soon. Oddly enough, a partner company we work with sent us a dozen cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake. I was so excited when I saw they had sent us cupcakes. We were sent vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet mini cakes. I was able to find a cupcake with my initials on it. Which elevated my level of excitement. Ready for the review part?
Drum roll please. The cupcakes were DELICIOUS. Honestly, one of the best cupcakes I have ever had. Better than Sprinkles Cupcakes. I am dead serious. Anyone want to go to DC with me and get some cupcakes? If I met the Katherine and Sophie, ugh that would be a dream. What would make it better? If I was able to take lessons with them #dreams. You can order the cupcakes online as well. In fact, if you’re able to order them, do it. I know I will be doing so soon.
Let’s chat about the three categories I notice when eating a cupcake. Presentation, texture, and flavor. The presentation was a little eh because some of the cupcakes icing was a little smooshed (not too badly though). They get a pass though since the cupcakes were overnighted, and they were still in tact. The texture was perfect. Obviously the cupcakes were chilled, so they weren’t as moist as they would be if they were room temperature, but even then they were too good. Flavor? You get exactly what you’re asking for. If you order a red velvet cupcake, it will taste like red velvet and not vanilla. Shout out, Georgetown Cupcake.
I hope to visit the shop soon.
