Today is my mom’s birthday. Here is what I have to say to you:
Thank you for everything you do and for being you. You aren’t funny, but it’s hilarious when you try to be. Constantly thinking about making us, your kids, and dad happy. Truly selfless. Thank you for your sacrifice. For staying up all night when we’re sick. If it’s 12:00 am, and you can barely keep your eyes open, you continue to wait for us to come home — just to make sure we’re safe. You’re always doing things for us even when you’re tired. We make fun of you constantly, but I still hope you know we do it with love. For the past 22+ years, you’ve always listened to what I have to say, and most of the time without interruption. You are resilient. I admire the passion & love you have for the scripture. You truly light up when you and dad talk about the Bible.
“I think I’m a pretty good daughter” I occasionally tell Johnathon. I know I’m not perfect, but I only got here because of you and dad. You have provided a house filled with love. Supporting our dreams, as crazy as they may seem. I love you, mom. Happy Birthday, you’re almost 50!
For anyone who is interested on what we are doing today, you can follow our day on my snapchat @eunicearchila
We’ll be getting mani-pedis, maybe we’ll watch Beauty and The Beast, we’re going to have lunch at a delicious Brazilian steak house, Rafain, and more.
